DECLARE WAR GLITCH STILL OUT THERE!

The Declare War feature has been updated. 30 new war loot items have been added to the inventory and there are 3 new Warlord achievements. The never ending war glitch is still out there so expect to see players maxed on this loot in no time.


The 3 Warlord achievements can be found on your Achievements Page. Collect each of the 10 items in each tier and you get the achievement.

The 30 new loot items are shown below. Most of the items have better stats than the VIP loot. Who needs a VIP Program when there is a glitched war system with much better loot?

On February 7th, 30 new war loot items were added to the inventory. If you do the math, the most items any one account could have at this point would be 1,044.

A player with the Loot And Pillage Perk (which doubles the helper war loot rewards) can get 2 loot items for the first 5 wars they help with per day. Assuming they never missed a day and stuck to the timer, they would have earned 580 loot items by today.  If they also have the Scrapper Perk (which reduces the declare war timer to 6 hours), they can declare a war 4 times a day and receive 2 items for each one. This adds and additional 464 additional items bringing the grand total up to 1,044 Declare War loot items. Most players have reached the 11th tier of warlord loot so we will focus on the two most desirable defense items. I’m only going to review the defense items because it’s not possible to look at other players attack items if they have their profiles set to private.

The two items that most players would go for are the Electromagnetic Shield and the Gemini Scythe. The Night Watch X6 is also a good item but it’s also a defense weapon and the Gemini Scythe is +2 higher in score.


Now lets examine a player profile. This has been verified that it is not a developers account. This player has a total of 808 of the two most desirable defense items. While it is possible to selectively help only in wars that offer the loot items you desire, it’s not possible to be selective in the 2 loot items you gain from declaring a war. Something doesn’t add up here. According to the person who reported this account, the number of these loot items increased by 200 in one day. If you check the loot items of profiles you attack (or use the 501 Spocklet), I’m sure you will find many more just like this one. 


I’m not sure how it works but there are rumors about a glitch involving head shot attacks. Apparently there is a way to make repeat attacks on the head shot without the attacks registering. When the war if over, the person who attacked the head shots will get 1 or 2 items (depending on their Family Progression level) per attack. 

Get what you can before Zynga takes it away in massive rollback like we saw in August of last year

Ice Season: 19 have started. You will be able to find it on the Home Page where most of the in-game banners are located, and also to look at your current amount of ices accumulated for the season.

You will only need to achieve 1,000 ices within 14 days. We currently have under 13 days and 10 hours to complete it. Those who complete their 150 ices for the Family Progression daily, will be able to complete this Ice Season easily.

The Grand Prize for the current ongoing Ice Season, is the Saw Shark. The milestone rewards for the Bronze/Silver/Gold/Ruby/Diamond tiers are the same.

SPOCKHOLM TOOLBAR UPDATE

Union Hall 2.0 is a revamp of Zynga’s Union Hall and contains the features that players have been asking for since Union Hall was launched.

If you have the Spockholm News Notifications turned on, you already know that Union Hall 2.0 it is now live on the Spockholm Mafia Toolbar.

If you don’t see it, go to the Configuration Page and make sure the feature is activated. If you prefer Zynga’s version, you can deactivate it by unchecking the “Unionhall 2.0” box. Sometimes it can take up to 24 hours for new features to appear so don’t panic if you don’t have it yet. 

Comparing the Zynga version to the Spockholm version, you can see that Las Vegas has been removed and London has been added. The scroll feature for Brazil was replaced with smaller buttons so everything can be done at once. The option to activate your Taskmaster bonus is also present on the Spockholm version.

To collect individually from any of your Brazil, Chicago or London properties, just click the button you are interested in. I will use Brazil in the example below. Always click the 2x button first which will activate your Taskmaster so you will get double the take on whichever property you collect from. When activated, it will say “Taskmaster:ok “ above the Rob Squad image.

If your Taskmaster is already activated, it will give the same Cooldown is active error that you get when you click twice to activate a crew member.

If you don’t have crew members in your queue, it will say Taskmaster:error You don’t have any user in your queue.”. You can still collect when this happens but you won’t get double the take. It’s in your best interest to go get some crew members.

The 2X button will appear shadowed and you can now collect your energy or stamina by clicking on the appropriate button.

You will see your take in the same area as the Taskmaster messages.

If you already collected, it will say “Not ready, nothing collected”. 

If you prefer to collect all of your Brazil Properties at the same time, the scroll bar is still present and you can get to the “Collect All” button. Many question if you still get Precious Gems if you collect from Union Hall. You still get them but there is no display alerting you. 

Your Chicago and London Properties can be collected from in the same fashion as shown above. The only difference is there is no “Collect All” option. If you want to collect from all these properties at the same time, you need to go to the Chicago or London Property Page.

The Spockholm (Un)Framed Page

Many players are having problems getting half screens.  The obvious work around is to unframe your page but Zynga prevents us from easily unframing.  A while back Team Spockholm created what Pistol Pete like to call fake unframing. To get your game into a fake unframed state and thus eliminate half screens, simply use the link below.

HIGH END LOOT ADJUSTMENT

Back in February it was discovered that many players had been taking advantage of an exploit for a few months.   Those who use automated scanning scripts unknowingly utilized the glitch because it involved manipulating news feed requests.  The exploit allowed anybody to manipulate your own news feed request so it's possible that you did nothing and still got loot item and/or Collectable Stat Cards that you shouldn't have.  Zynga is now taking back loot items they determined were not acquired by normal means.  Players are getting the account notice popup shown below.

It appears most players getting this notice are missing Mission and Secret District items.  The person whose account this Inventory History run came from still has a Harbinger.  Not much more is known but I was told all items are being looked at.  It’s possible they all aren’t being removed at the same time.

High End Loot Adjustment

On April 17th, the Mafia Wars team corrected the amount of high end loot in in the accounts of players who inadvertently received extra loot.

We understand that many players did not know they were receiving additional loot that gave them an unfair advantage in the game.

We apologize that our error added too many valuable loot items to the accounts of players.

While we do not want to punish players, we made the decision to adjust those affected by this error to maintain a level playing field for everyone.

This adjustment has corrected the amount of loot only in the accounts of players affected by the error, making sure that nobody ended up with more than the maximum allowed loot.

LUCK OF THE IRISH GLITCH

Zynga could fix it at any time and you risk losing one of your Luck of the Irish Grand Prizes.

1. Go to your Family Property and click on the “Change” button under any of your loot items. It’s recommended to do the Artillery Station first or it may not work.

2. Find “Luck of the Irish” and click on it.

3. Confirm this action by clicking “yes” on the popup. Advanced users can use the Defendor! by Team Spockholm to make this process easier.

4. Your item will now be replaced with the Luck of the Irish.
5. Repeat steps 1-4 two more times (assuming you own 3 Luck of the Irish's).

6.  Go to the Sláinte Gift Mastery Event Home Page Banner. A “Collect” button will now appear.

7.  Click on the “Collect” button to claim the Luck of the Irish. Repeat this step two more times. As long as you have mastered the event 3 times, the “Collect” button will appear 2 more times.

8. Repeat steps 1-4 until your Artillery Station and Bunker contain 5 Luck of the Irish's.

9. Repeat steps 6 and 7 until your banner says “You mastered the event all 3 times!”.

10. Becuase the overall health of your Family Property will increase, don't forget to heal the property when you are finished.

11. So you can sleep better at night, go to your inventory to verify that you have all items so you can sleep better at night.
