Family Mastery Event: Death By Ice

Who is the strongest Family out there? A new icing mastery event will pit Families against each other in a competition to determine which is the coolest in Mafia Wars. Family members will need to work together to ice enough players throughout the week to earn four levels of mastery items. Extra special rewards will go to the top 10 Families, so start working on your strategy to help your Family dominate in this test of its power!
Each time your Family hits an icing mastery tier, every member of the Family will receive the mastery item. All ices done in Fighting during the event will count towards your Family’s icing mastery.

Bonus Prizes For The Top Families
The members of the top 10 Families will earn bonus prizes in addition to the Family mastery rewards. The top prize, awarded to each member of the Family that takes 1st place, includes a Two-Headed Snake [Gold] (175/175) and 20 Skill points! You'll get some of that if you rank in 2nd through 10th place, but we all know that 2nd place is the first loser, so get out there and shoot for that #1 spot!
The current top 4 Families and the number of ices they've collected will be displayed on the homepage. If your Family doesn't happen to be within the top 4, your Family’s icing rank for the event will also be displayed. Your own icing progress will appear in the middle of the homepage banner. (see image above)
The event starts later today, so rally your Family and ice as many people as you can to demonstrate your collective might!
